Chemically named ascorbic acid (LLA). The vitamin C which is naturally occurring as an antioxidant in nature is composed of L ascorbic acid AND D ascorbic Acid, which are found in high concentration in citrus fruits, berries, a lot of exotic fruits such as Pomegranate, Starfruit, Passionfruit, Kiwi, Mangosteen, Pineapple, Lychee, Indian Jujube and Guava.

Let’s talk about Vitamin C and Science facts

Chemical (LLA) vitamin C is extremely unstable, therefore if the synthetic form is used in skincare products, it will not be delivered into the dermis in the optimum dosage* (see the scientific publication here)

As of today, the perfect solution with the synthetic (cheap) version to make this vitamin C stable is not found yet. Therefore if we need to make conclusion to these facts: it makes no sense using ascorbic acid aka Vitamin C, except for a good marketing purpose.
